Bio:
Hi, I'm Mitchell Keyworth. I'm a former Sacred Heart student studying biomedical science at the University of Ottawa in my second year. Before Covid-19 happened, I spent most of my free time going to movies, dragging myself to the gym, and skiing whenever I could; now I mostly spend my days studying, watching tv, and playing video games. I'm working towards being able to help people for a living through medical research and hopefully I can help you find something you're passionate about as well.
Once upon a time, two university students from Stittsville Ontario found themselves taking part in the biggest experiment in the history of education - online learning for the masses. In the wake of the Covid-19 Pandemic, all educational institutions were suddenly forced to adapt to a new normal. As former tutors themselves, the two students decided there was an opportunity to do their part in the crisis, so they got to work. From the outset, Advantage Academy was created with a very simple goal in mind;
"To provide quality assistance that is accessible to anyone, anytime, anywhere."
While being quite to-the-point, our statement embodies a greater set of objectives that make up our mission. Our defining attribute - accessibility, means more than just the ability to receive education over the internet. It means that we strive to make our service available to anyone regardless of their busy schedules or other complications. We believe no student should struggle, so we break down every barrier we can by offering a reasonable price, and working closely with families to ensure that all students are equipped with the help they need. Every aspect of our organization, from administration to teaching strategies is designed to service our collective desire to watch students succeed. Empowering students and enabling them to realize their full potential gives us a tremendous sense of pride, and reaffirms the importance of what we do.
Sincerely,
The Advantage Academy Team
